PhD students from all areas of engineering and science can benefit from attending, although the course to some extent favors "hard science" disciplines. Papers are submitted via the conferencing system and copied to Bridget. The course is organised in three activities. This means that the course is not so suitable for new PhD students but better for those who already have done work worth submitting to a conference. The course takes a practical approach and focuses on the craftsmanship needed as a scientist.
First, the PhD students are asked to study selected literature on the subject. Participants, who are absent during part of one or both of these two dates will not receive any credits.
